Location: The port of Pointe Noire, the only sea port of the Republic of Congo, is located on the western coastline of Africa 150 km N of the River Congo mouth. It is an external port built over the sea south of the bay of Pointe Noire Natural cape. It is reinforced and prolonged by an artificial breakwater. It is the natural sea outlet with major communications links for Equatorial Africa which stretches from Pointe Noire to Bangui and Ndjamena by using the railway (Congo Ocean Railway), the waterways (Basin of Congo-Oubangui-Sangha), part of the central african, chadian, Gabonese and Angolan network.
