Rades Port Authority Launches Use of E-Transport

In order to promote the electronic administration and to strengthen the competitiveness of Tunisian products, the Rades Port authority started on January 15, the use of a system of intelligent transportation using modern technology.

The implementation of the "Liasse du transport" (book of rules governing transportation sector) which was announced a few weeks ago has now started.

This initiative which is in line with the 2009-2010 presidential program aims at encouraging the use of new technologies in the transport sector. It will bring about the dematerialization of procedures so as to reduce delays at the Rades port, as well as reducing additional costs related to the stocking of goods.

The "Liasse du transport" contains all the documents necessary for the realization of the procedures related to the international transportation of goods. The system set up, is an integrated automatic system of processing procedure of international transport of goods, exchange of data and treatment procedures.
